Birding Walk in Faerie Glen Nature Reserve

Red-throated Wryneck

BirdLife Northern Gauteng and Friends of Faerie Glen Nature Reserve are hosting a morning walk in the reserve. A tea basket with something to eat and a chair is a good idea for afterwards. If you are not a member of the Friends group R5 entrance fee is payable to at the reserve gate.

The reserve is well known for good summer and winter birding with several interesting species regularly present. Black Duck (Swarteend), Red-throated Wryneck (Draaihals) and Brown-backed Honeybird (Skerpbekheuningvoël) have been seen before.
