CoT funding pompom weed action

GOOD NEWS! We are excited to announce that the City of Tshwane has allocated significant funding to combat pompom weeds in FGNR at the end of the year. The pompom weed (Campuloclinium macrocephalum) is a Category One weed according to the Conservation of Agricultural Resources Act 43 of 1983 (CARA), meaning it may not occur on any land and landowners are compelled to control the weed on their property. The weed competes with the natural vegetation and its presence reduces the productivity of the veld.
